Using FTP/Uploading
Files
We recommend the
following FTP software that can be downloaded from the
Internet. Most Home Page Publishing tools include FTP
capabilities and will work equally well.
-
WS_FTP is available
for all Windows Platforms and the Dec Alpha platforms.
-
Cute FTP is available
for all Windows Platforms.
-
Fetch is available
for Mac/Power PC Platforms.
The
Following Settings will be required to use FTP with our
service.
-
For Remote
"Server", "Host", "Host
Name" etc. Enter your IP address, do
not use "http://", use only your IP address.
-
If you have
the option, "Host Type" should be "Auto
detect".
-
If you have
the option, "Transfer Type" should be
"Auto".
Note: some cgi programs such as perl
scripts should be upoaded/downloaded using ASCII text.

Enter your
sites Login name for the "User ID".
-
Enter your
sites Password for "Password".
-
Do not
select "Anonymous Login".
-
Leave
"Initial Directories", "Remote
Directories" etc. blank.
-
The
"Port" should be "21".
-
Use the
default settings for the rest of available options.
